Hello! My name is Joshua Castro. I am a senior at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I am a Computer Science and Business Administration (Sports Operations Management Concentration) double major with a minor in Analytics. I am graduating early with a 4.0 GPA after only three years and will be attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute to earn my Ph.D. in Computer Science, use my remaining two seasons of athletic eligibility, and be a TA starting in Fall 2024.
During my three years at Muhlenberg, I played on the varsity football and track and field teams, was a peer tutor, an intern, manager of the men’s basketball team, a member of the computer science club, and participated in the prestigious Dana Scholars honor society. As result of my effort in undergraduate academics, I have been invited to three different National Honor Societies: Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Mu Epsilon, and Chi Alpha Sigma. Additionally, I have been named to the Muhlenberg College Dean’s List and the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll every semester I was eligible, was named to the Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team, and was a first-team all-Centennial Conference sprinter with the track and field team, which also earned me a spot on the Academic All-Centennial Conference team.
Going forward, I hope to work in industry and combine my passions for sports, analytics, and business to help a professional sports team win championships.
